View/Apply RCM Analysis

Explanation

Use this activity to review the resulting Maintenance Decisions, effected Equipment Objects, Tool/Equipments, Linear Assets, PM Plan, and PM Programs to be generated as a result of the RCM Analysis decisions taken.

You can navigate to RCM Analysis page by View/Apply RCM Analysis option in Monitor RCM Analysis Receipt page. The page will display the following

• Maintenance Decisions taken during the RCM Analysis. Each decision showing the Failure Mode, Work Task Template, Interval and Interval Type as calendar, usage, activity (event) or parameter (range).
• Equipment effected by the Maintenance Decisions (includes Functional and Serial objects, Tool/Equipments, Linear Assets)
• Equipment PM Plan per Failure mode.
• PM Programs that are affected from the RCM Analysis.

PM Programs tab displays the PM programs that has Item Class and Process Class as Applicable Objects in its definition. Only the PM Programs with the highest revision will be displayed here.

The RCM analysis can be applied using Create/ Update PM Program Revision option and it is also possible to set the new revision of the PM Program Active from the Create/ Update PM Program Revision dialog box itself. Upon applying the RCM analysis received from the Toolkit;

If PM Program Revision Control is ON and;

• When the current PM Program revision is in Active status, a new revision of the PM Program will be created.
• When the current PM Program revision is in Preliminary status, the existing revision of the PM Program will be updated.

If PM Program Revision Control is OFF and;

• When the current PM Program revision is in Active status, an error will be raised and it will not be possible to make changes on the existing PM Program.
• When the current PM Program revision is in Preliminary status, the existing revision of the PM Program will be updated.

In order to be able to apply the RCM analysis, at least the PM Program header must exist in Preliminary status in IFS/PM Program.
