Analyze Shop Orders Material Availability

Explanation

Use this activity to analyze the material availability for a set of shop orders. Planning part is only available for Company owned Stock and Supplier Consignment Stock. The availability information represents all open demand and supply orders for every shop order component. A shortage occurs when the projected quantity on hand is less than zero

Select the shop order to analyze the availability for in the upper list, the material lines are shown in the below Material Availability list. Use the options in the lower list to control how the material lines are displayed:

• Enable Include Open Supplies if you want the values in the Projected On Hand Qty, Total Demand and Total Supply fields to consider open requisitions in addition to orders.
• Enalbe Show Only Parts with Remaining Demand to display only the component lines for which there is material remaining to be reserved or issued.
• Enable the Show Shortages Only to display only the component lines for which there is a material shortage, i.e. components for which the projected quantity on hand on the required date is less than zero.

Enter a date in the Pick Plan Date field if you want to use a different date instead of the Required Date when calculating the Projected On Hand Qty, Total Demand and Total Supply.

Prerequisites

• A shop order that is not in status Closed or Cancelled must exist.
