Sorting
Explanation
This activity is used to manually sort object before scheduling.
This activity is performed for various reasons.
- Option - Sort by Precedence : When it seems that scheduling is
not taking place as expected, the internal sorting of operations might not
have taken place. This manual sorting option would make operations sort
again and scheduling would happen as expected.
- Options - Sort by , LPST, EDD, Work Order Priority : When there
are identical orders competing for same resources thee user can select one
of these sorting options and force scheduling logic to give priority to
certain orders based on the sort option.
Prerequisites
Sorting will effect only unscheduled operations/orders
System Effects
The internal sorting order of operations or orders will be re-ordered as
per the sort by option.
