Change Work Center or Resource

Explanation

Use this activity to re-plan the operation to another work center, or work center resource.

To perform this activity, select the relevant operation and click Change Resource. If you only want to change to another resource within the same work center, leave the New Work Center field blank and select the new resource from the Preferred Resource field.

Prerequisites

• The operation cannot have an ongoing setup or production activity.
• To change to a new work center, another valid, internal work center must exist on the same site.
• To change to a new resource on the same work center, the work center must have another valid resource.

System Effects

As a result of this activity the operation is rescheduled on the new work center resource. When changing work center, the new work center will be saved on the shop order operation.
