View Shop Order Tracked Structure
Explanation
This activity is used to view the reserved serial or lot/batch number structure for shop
order parts. I.e. what serial or lot/batch number of the part manufactured
on the shop order the component parts have been assigned to.
To perform this activity from the Shop Order Tracked
Structure page:
- To view all components assigned to any parent part, use the
Assigned Components tab.
- To view components assigned to parent parts using a tree view, click
Expand.
- To view components assigned to a specific parent part, click
Expand, select the parent part in the tree structure and use
the Assigned Components tab.
- To view components assigned to a specific parent part by scanning a
barcode for the parent to view the structure for. Select the shop order
node in the tree view, click Handle Structure by Barcode and then
View. Scan or enter a barcode containing either the inventory
barcode ID, or if the part is serial tracked, the serial number, and if
the part is lot/batch tracked, the lot/batch number in the Barcode field.
- To view only serial and/or lot/batch tracked components, click
Show Only Tracked Components.
- To view only components connected to a specific operation, enter the operation
in the Operation field in the Shop Order section.
To perform this activity from the Shop Floor Workbench
page:
- Expand the operation and open the Tracked Structure
tab.
- Click Show and then Assigned Components.
- To view only components connected to the selected operation, click
Show and then Only Operation Connected
Materials.
- To view only serial and/or lot/batch tracked components, click
Show and then Only Tracked Components.
- To view components assigned to a specific parent part by scanning a
barcode for the parent to view the structure for. Click Handle
Structure by Barcode and then View. Scan or enter a barcode
containing either the inventory barcode ID, or if the part is serial
tracked, the serial number, and if the part is lot/batch tracked, the
lot/batch number in the Barcode field.
- To view only serial and/or lot/batch tracked components, click
Show Only Tracked Components.
- To view only components connected to a specific, enter the operation
in the Operation field in the Shop Order section
To perform this activity using the Operation Guide
assistant available from the Shop Floor Workbench page:
- Select the operation and click Operation Guide.
- Click View for the relevant parent in the
Tracked Structure section.
- To view only serial and/or lot/batch tracked components, click
Show Only Tracked Components.
- To view only components connected to a specific operation, enter the operation
in the Operation field in the Shop Order section. If
Consider Only Operation Materials was selected in Operation
Guide, the operation selected in Shop Floor Workbench
is entered by default.
- To view the structure for another parent, scan or enter a barcode
containing either the inventory barcode ID, or if the part is serial
tracked, the serial number, and if the part is lot/batch tracked, the
lot/batch number in the Barcode field.
Prerequisites
- The parent part must be setup as either in inventory serial, and/or
lot/batch tracked with the Multi-Level Tracking option
enabled on the Part page.
- Material must have been reserved for the shop order.
- Serials and/or lot/batch numbers must have been reserved for the
shop order.
- To automatically build the tracked structure when material and
serial / lot/batch numbers have been reserved, the Auto Build
Tracked Structure option must have been enabled on the
Site page.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the system displays the relations between
the component parts and the parent serial and/or lot/batch numbers for the
shop order.
