Create Disassembly Shop Order
Explanation
Use this activity to manually create a new disassembly shop order.
To create a disassembly shop order:
- Enter the site and the part number of the part that you want to
disassemble.
- Enter the desired quantity of the part to disassembly in the Lot Size
field.
- Select Disassembly in the Order Type drop-down.
- In the Scheduling
Direction drop-down, select either
Forward Scheduling or
Backwards Scheduling.
- With backward scheduling, the system schedules material
requirements and operations based on the Need Date that you
enter. The start date is equal to the need date minus the
total lead time.
- With forward scheduling, you enter the Earliest Start Date.
The finish date is equal to sum of the earliest start date and the
total lead time.
- Enter new values in the Structure or Routing sections if
you want to use another structure or routing revision and/or
alternate. You can only use structure/routing of type
Disassembly. By default, the system will fetch the
revision based on the shop order dates, and the * alternate.
Prerequisites
- An inventory part with a disassembly structure header must exist for
the site.
- To add materials and produced parts, a disassembly structure alternate in status
Buildable must exist.
- To add operations, a disassembly routing alternate in status Buildable must exist.
System Effects
As a result of this activity the system creates a new shop order with
Order Type set to Disassembly for the selected part. When
this happens, the system creates material requirements, produced parts and
schedules operations according to the selected part, revision and alternate.
