Use this activity to enter a downtime cause. Downtime causes are used to measure and classify periods during which a work center resource is unavailable due to causes such as tool breakage, worker unavailability, machine breakdown, etc.
Each site has the option to define a value for Max Duration for Auto Registration. If a machine downtime clocking at the site results in a downtime less than or equal to the time configured in this field then that downtime clocking will automatically be assigned with the corresponding downtime cause. Only a single downtime cause per site may be configured for Max Duration for Auto Registration.
Note: If you do not want to use the downtime cause for a period of time, the status can be set to Blocked or Hidden.
