You can define the default values for kanban demand retrieval and simulation. A simulation determines whether the size or number of Kanbans is sufficient to meet the demand for the part. The system retrieves the demand according to the demand source and date range that you specify. Although the system automatically sets the default values when it creates an inventory site, you can change these values to suit your preferences. When executing the processes, you can temporarily override these values.

As a result of this activity demand retrieval and kanban simulation choices appear automatically in the dialog boxes used for these activities. You can override the defaults if you choose.
