To stop all replenishment execution activities temporarily for a circuit, click Place on Hold. The On Hold status is useful if you are using electronic replenishment signals, or if you are recording production against kanban cards and want to place a temporary hold on this procedure. When placing a circuit on hold, you must communicate the reason for the hold to the shop floor by selecting a hold reason code. Once a circuit is on hold, you can either make it active again or make it permanently inactive.
This activity requires the existence of a kanban circuit with a status of either Active or Recalculated. Also, one or more hold code reasons must have been set up.
As a result of this activity the system temporarily stops all electronic replenishment requests and production reporting for the selected circuit.
