Use this activity to modify scheduling optimization constraints. These constraints are defined when a site is set up to use MSO solution. When finite scheduling is executed, based on the results, it may be needed to modify schedulng optimizaton constraint to yield desired resutls based on changed business and shop floor reasons. It is adviceable to alter the Site scheduling optimization constraints rather than modifying them everytime selective finite scheduling is executed. The reason is, MSO optimization logic endeavour to create a finite schedule which is optimized globlaly to meet the objectives defined as scheduling and time constraints in varous places in IFS Cloud. This task is to be performed by a manufacturing planner or equivalent person. These parameters are functional parameters which will define the nature of the final finite schedule.
For all MSO Scheduling modes ( Automatic, Manual and Manual Selective), it is required to specify suitable optimization constraints.
- Refer Activity Descriptions for Specify Scheduling Optimization Constraints
The planner has to execute finite schedules with different schduling optimization constraints to find the best values for these constraints over the time. Optimization Goals can be modified using Selective Optimization Assistant (Applicable for Manual Scheduling mode Only). This assistant is accesible from Manufactuing Visual Planning pages and Smart Planning Board.
User must make it firm by releasing the Shop Orders or fixing shop order operations after any modification made with Selective Optimization assistant. Otherwise the Selective Optimization result may get changed with another scheduling action made on the same MSO dataset.
Available Goals are:
By enabling this option Scheduling Service will give a higher opportunity to schedule passed due shop orders. This opportunity to schedule will be based on the Number of late days from particular Shop Order Need dates
The shop order operations belongs to selection would be rescheduled prioritizing if there are any pass-due shop order at the time of selective optimization.
By enabling this option Scheduling Service will consider the Setup Matrices in the Finite schedule relevant to Shop Orders which are within the defined Selection Window time period.
Selection Window is to define the number of days which will be used to select operations considering the Shop Order Need date starting from the Scheduling date (Current Date). For example, if the Selection window is 10 and Scheduling date is 2023/01/01 then all the operations until 2023/01/10 (i.e. scheduling date +10 ) will be selected for scheduling optimization.
The shop order operations belongs to selection would be rescheduled considering the setup matrices.
