New Machine Downtime Clocking
Explanation
Use this activity to manually register a new machine downtime clocking record
for a work center resource. Machine downtime is booked against a downtime cause.
To register a new machine downtime clocking from:
- Shop Floor Workbench page, click Manage
Downtime and then Clockings. In the
Downtime Clockings dialog, click New Clocking.
- Shop Floor Clockings page, click New
Clocking and then New Machine Downtime Clocking.
If the downtime is ongoing, leave the stop time field empty.
Prerequisites
- A valid work center resource must exist.
- To enter a downtime cause, it must have been entered on the Downtime
Causes page.
System Effects
- A new machine downtime clocking record will be created.
- If a stop time has been entered, a time result will be calculated.
The calculation depends on the selected downtime cause:
- No downtime cause, downtime cause with OEE Factor
= Schedule Loss or Availability
Loss: Only time intervals that falls into the defined work
center calendar working time are considered. The result is divided
per workday and one machine downtime history transaction (MCH_DOWN)
per workday is created.
- Downtime cause with OEE Factor =
Performance Loss: Time intervals that falls outside the
defined work center calendar working time are considered according
to the Calendar Consideration option selected on the site.
One machine downtime history transaction (MCH_DOWN) is created.
- If a machine downtime clocking duration is less than or equal to the
Max Duration for Auto Registration value set for the site
on the Downtime Causes page, the machine downtime
clocking will automatically be registered with the corresponding downtime
cause in case there is not already a downtime cause registered.
