Reschedule Shop Order Operation
Explanation
This activity is used to reschedule a shop order operation to a new date/time.
The activity can be performed either using the Reschedule command
in the Machine Load and Labor Load charts,
or using drag-and-drop in the Machine Operations Scheduling
and Labor Operations Scheduling charts.
From the Machine Operations Scheduling and Labor
Operations Scheduling charts it is also possible to schedule the operation
to a new resource on the same, or a different work center.
Note: New start and finish date will be based on the
infinite scheduling logic and may differ from the value seen in the dialog.
For instance, if the provided new start date is on a non working date, the operation
will receive a new start date corresponding to the first available work date/time
from the date provided.
Prerequisites
- The selected chart segment must represent an open shop order operation.
- The Schedule Direction of the shop order may not be set to
Manual Scheduling.
- The site of the shop order may not be connected to CBS server.
System Effects
- If the operation is rescheduled to a new resource on the same work center,
the new resource will be set as the Preferred Resource
on the operation.
- If the operation is rescheduled to a new resource on a different work
center, this work center will be entered in the Work Center
field, and the resource will be set as the Preferred Resource
on the operation.
If Forward Scheduling is selected:
- Schedule Direction for the operation is set to Forward Scheduling
and the operation will be rescheduled to start the first available work
date/time from the given value.
- Operations parallel to, and succeeding the rescheduled operation will
also be set to Forward Scheduling and rescheduled.
- If Compress Operations is on, the operation preceding the rescheduled
operation will be set to Backwards Scheduling and rescheduled with
a Finish Date adjacent to the rescheduled operations new
Start Date.
If Backward Scheduling is selected:
- Schedule Direction for the operation is set to Backwards Scheduling
and the operation will be rescheduled to finish the last available work
date/time before the given value.
- Operations parallel to, and preceding the rescheduled operation will
also be set to Backwards Scheduling and rescheduled.
- If Compress Operations is on, the operation succeeding the rescheduled
operation will be set to Forward Scheduling and rescheduled with
a Start Date adjacent to the rescheduled operations new
Finish Date.
