Schedule Balanced Shop Orders
Explanation
To schedule the shop order succeeding the selected order, select a node,
then click Schedule Succeeding Shop Orders. Shop orders
succeeding the order from which the activity is triggered will be forward
scheduled from the due date of the selected order.
Prerequisites
Supply order from where the activity is triggered should be balanced out
to at least one shop order.
The shop order must have operation(s).
System Effects
- Scheduling Direction for the parent shop orders to which the
selected order has been balanced out to, will be set to Forward
Scheduling. The Earliest Start Date will be set to the same
as the Due Date of the supplying order.
- The due date of a shop order is the same as the working day
after its finish date if Plan Manufacturing Supply on Due
Date is disabled for the part. If the setting is enabled,
the due date of a shop order is the same as its finish date.
- If both the parts of the supplying and succeeding shop orders
have this setting enabled, the earliest start date of the succeeding
order will be set to the same date and time as the finish date and
time of the supplying shop order. I.e., the succeeding order is
scheduled to start directly after the supplying order is finished.
Else, the earliest start date of the succeeding order will be set to
the beginning of the due date of the supplying shop order. I.e., the
succeeding order is scheduled to start the first working time on the
supplying order due date.
- If the parent shop order has been balanced out to succeeding orders,
the procedure will be repeated until all succeeding orders have been
scheduled.
