Stop Machine Downtime
Explanation
Use this activity to register that downtime has stopped on a work center
resource.
To stop downtime from the Shop Floor Workbench
page:
- Click Stop Downtime.
- Select the work center to stop downtime for in the Work Center
field. You can select from any of the work centers valid for the
shop floor workbench filter currently used with ongoing downtime. If only
one work center with ongoing downtime exists for the filter, this will appear
by default.
- Select the work center resource on which the downtime should be registered
in the Resource field. You can select from any of the resources
valid for the shop floor workbench filter currently used with ongoing downtime.
If only one resource with ongoing downtime exists for the filter, this will
appear by default.
- Optionally, enter a note in the Clocking Note field.
To stop downtime from the Time Clock client:
- Click Stop Downtime and enter the Employee
or Team.
- Select the Work Center to stop downtime for from the list.
- Select the Resource to stop downtime for from the list.
- Note: Depending on the Time Clock
configuration, some of these fields may be automatically filled with default
data and thereby the fields may be disabled or unavailable for editing.
Prerequisites
- An ongoing downtime clocking must exist.
- To stop downtime from shop floor workbench, an ongoing downtime clocking
must exist for at least one of the work center resources valid for the filter
currently being used.
System Effects
- The machine downtime clocking record for the selected work center resource
will receive a stop time and duration of the clocking interval is calculated.
The calculation depends on the selected downtime cause:
- No downtime cause, downtime cause with OEE Factor
= Schedule Loss or Availability
Loss: Only time intervals that falls into the defined work
center calendar working time are considered. The result is divided
per workday and one machine downtime history transaction (MCH_DOWN)
per workday is created.
- Downtime cause with OEE Factor =
Performance Loss: Time intervals that falls outside the
defined work center calendar working time are considered according
to the Calendar Consideration option selected on the site.
One machine downtime history transaction (MCH_DOWN) is created.
- A machine downtime history transaction (MCH_DOWN) is created.
- If a machine downtime clocking duration is less than or equal to the
Max Duration for Auto Registration value set for the site
on the Downtime Causes page, the machine downtime
clocking will automatically be registered with the corresponding downtime
cause in case there is not already a downtime cause registered.
