This activity is used to set the minimum structure as indicated by the defined minimum configuration.
The minimum configuration is important for the building of a template structure. Through the minimum configuration you can specify the minimum structure that can be set operational. Consequently, when you disconnect a part that is included in the minimum configuration, the structure (vehicle) will not be operational. If however you are required to disconnect a minimum configuration part from the structure, you need to replace it with another part before the structure can be made operational.
Note that minimum configured parts in the structure of non-serialized parts will not affect the operational status of corresponding serials structures. Only the first level of non-serialized parts are considered in serials structures. Assign a part to the minimum configuration by enabling Minimum Configuration option from the Consist of tab.
As a result of this activity, you will not be able to set the serial structure operational if one or more parts which are included in the minimum configuration of the template structure are disconnected.
