This activity is used to add disassembly components to a product structure alternate. I.e., component parts disassembled from a product during disassembly, repair, or manufacturing.
To add a disassembly component, create a new line with Type set to Disassembly Component on the Produced Parts tab. Enter the Part to add, and the quantity disassembled from one unit of the parent part in Qty per Unit field. If it is not expected to recover all disassembled components, enter the expected scrap percentage in the Scrap Factor (%) field. Optionally, connect the disassembly component to the operation where it should be received to stock.
As a result of this activity, disassembly components are added to the product structure alternate.
