This activity is used to either approve the actual cost rates for a period or un-approve the approved cost rates for a period. The actual cost values are used in Periodic Weight Average calculation to update the reported operations with actual cost rates for work centers and labor classes. If the actual cost rates should be a part of the Periodic Weight Average calculation it is required to have the period approved.
You can also un-approve the period if you want to change something for an approved period.
If there is a record with a deviation between the actual cost rate and the cost set 1 value that is higher than the Max Allowed Deviation, a warning message will appear, but still it is possible to approve the period.
