Calculate Routing Operations Actuals

Explanation

Use this activity to create a snapshot for routing operation details and calculate the actual result for the operation Usage Factor, which is used in Routing.

In the Routing page, the operation Usage Factor is the value that is set as the estimated occurrence of the operation for a specific operation. Functions like CRP is using this value for planning the operations which is one of the reasons why this value is important to have up to date.

The calculate routing operation actuals activity calculates the actual operation usage factor value from the closed shop orders within the defined time range for the calculation. The actual operation usage factor value gives user a good view of how much the operation has been included and reported in the production during the specified time. And user can also monitor the differences against the estimated usage factor. The information can be used to update the estimated operation usage factor which will be a better input to for instance capacity requirement planning functions.

When the calculation is performed in Calculate Routing Operation Actuals dialog, a new snapshot ID is created in Routing Operation Actuals page. The logic will get the data from the closed shop orders of configurable parts (and its revision) within the date range used in the calculation.

Note:

Configuration Rule and Alternate Rule columns display the rule at the time when the Snapshot ID was created. This means that if the configuration or alternate rule has been changed during the revision/alternate life cycle, the displayed rule might not have been used for the operations for all the closed shop orders within the timeframe.

The rules are displayed in the user language that created the Actuals Snapshop ID.
