Connect or modify work guidelines to a selected operation. Work guidelines can be created manually or set from a work guideline template.
Select an operation in Routing, then select Work Guidelines to open Routing Operation Work Guidelines for that operation. Create a new record and either enter values for the Guideline Desc and Guideline Text fields or onnect a work guideline template by selecting a template in Guideline Template ID. Select the type of guideline in the Guideline Type field. If the type Subtask is selected, also select whether or not the sign off and inspection sign off should be required in the Sign Off Required and the Inspection Sign Off Required fields.
If there is a need to validate the employee qualification for the subtask, you can specify an employee qualification profile in the Emp Qual Profile field. Use the List of Values to select from available profiles. The subtask must have Sign off Required set to Required to Close Operation.
If there is a need to validate the inspection employee qualification for the subtask, you can specify an employee qualification profile in the Inspect Emp Qual Profile field. Use the List of Values to select from available profiles. The subtask must have Inspection Sign off Required set to Required to Close Shop Order or Required to Close Operation.
Optionally, enter a reference number in the Reference Number field and use the List of Values to select a reference type in the Reference Type field.
If a work guideline template is to be used, that template must be defined in Work Guideline Templates. An operation must also be defined for a part.
As a result of this activity, the system connects work guidelines to an operation.
