Use this activity to manually create a new routing header. A routing header identifies the part, site, routing type and routing revision. The routing type represents the process in which the routing is used such as manufacturing, repair, and disassembly. The routing header itself acts as a routing revision independently from the inventory part revision.
To create a new routing header, click New on the Routing page. In the assistant, enter the relevant Part, Routing Revision, Routing Type, Phase In Date and optionally a Phase Out Date.
An inventory part of type Manufactured, Manufactured Recipe or Purchased must exist.
As a result of this activity, a new routing header/revision is created.
