Edit Schedule Attributes
Explanation
This activity is used to edit the schedule attributes for a part in a
production line.
Schedule attributes can be edited on the Schedule Attributes
tab on the Production Line page or in the
Production Lines section on the Production
Line by Part page.
The attribute fields you can edit are:
- Schedule Percentage
The percentage of the part
that should be manufactured in the selected production line. This value
can not be less than zero. This value is used to allocate the demand for
the part to production schedules when a single part is produced in more
than one line. Master scheduling (MS) and MRP consider this percentage
when generating production schedules.
- Horizon
The schedule horizon that should be used
for the part in this line. This controls schedule generation and
management. Use the list of values (LOV) picker to select from available
schedule horizons.
- Schedule Fraction
Defines whether to allow the
scheduled quantity to be divided. The value is either set to
Fraction Not Allowed or Fraction Qty Allowed.
- Receipt in Background
Specifies how the receipt
should behave. If this setting is enabled, the receipt will be performed
in the background.
Prerequisites
This activity has the following prerequisites:
- A part has been connected to a production line.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- The schedule part attributes for a part in a production line is
changed. The attributes are considered by master scheduling (MS) and
material requirements planning (MRP) when generating production
schedules.
- When production schedules are created by master scheduling or MRP,
the demand quantities are divided by the percentage specified in the
Schedule Percentage field into
the different line schedules. If the sum of the schedule percentage
for a part exceeds 100%, you receive a warning, but the transaction will
complete. A part's primary line is the production line having the
greatest schedule percentage.
