Update Revision Data

Explanation

This activity is used to update revision data for a part in Engineering Revision Transfer Status page.

You can change part type, part template ID, routing template ID, action planner, action manufacturing engineer, structure effectivity, and begin/end dates and serial numbers.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• The destination site must exist in the system
• The engineering revision must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The system updates revision data for a part in Engineering Revision Transfer Actions.

When the Engineering Transfer is done, the update of the Product Structure Revision happens according to the state of the default alternative.
If the Product Structure default Alternative is in Tentative state it gets overwritten with the changes.
If the Product Structure default Alternative is in Plannable, Buildable or Canceled state a new Product Structure Revision is created.

If there is more than one Tentative Structures for a part then the latest Tentative Revision gets updated with the changes.
If this Tentative Structure has other Alternatives in Tentative state these will be deleted once the Engineering Transfer is done. If the other Alternatives are in Plannable, Buildable or Canceled state they will remain as they are.
