Configuration of Fields

Explanation

This activity is used to configure fields to be shown in Object Information tab in Object Information dialog. The configuration is done on per logical unit (LU).

In the GIS Object Configuration/Fields tab for the relevant logical unit, enable Display for those fields that should be visible in Object Information tab in the Object Information dialog. The field once enabled, could be shown in a few different ways:

• As a text, if the corresponding column in the database is designed to show text information.
• As a link to enable navigation to a relevant page or dialog, if the column is designed to show IFS business object identification. This requires a link action to be defined in Actions tab.

You can add value to Display Order to control the order of the fields in the Object Information tab. This task should be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

Prerequisites

Logical units (LU) should have been defined with value GisintConnections as a service name in Solution Manager/Configuration/Object Connections. This enables LU to be shown and selected from List of Values in GIS Object Configuration page.

System Effects

Fields in Object Information tab are displayed according to the configuration in GIS Object Configuration/Fields tab.
