Define Property Codes for Organization Units

Explanation

This activity is used to connect property codes to organization units. Property codes are used to store numerical and text values that do not have a designated place in IFS Cloud. For example, a number of coffee machines assigned to a certain department can be registered as a property code and added to the designated organization unit.

Navigate to Graphical Organization Structure. Search or populate to find the relevant structure. Select the relevant organization unit from the graphical object structure. Under the Properties section, create a new property.

If you select a matrix structure, select the ID of a company for which the property code will be defined in the Company field. You can use the list of values. Skip this step for company structures. In the Property Code field, select the property code identifier. In the Property Value field, enter the value of the property code. For certain codes, you can use a list of values. In the Validity field, enter the validity period of the property code.
