The purpose of this section is to define a specific Person/Position
who will be considered the responsible person for a given Organization.
The responsible person can be identified for both Company
Structures as well as Metrix Structures and the user can set one responsible
Person for the whole structure or define different responsible Persons Per Organization
of the structure.
There are 4 options given to decide the responsible Person – Highest Position Connected to the Organization, Specific Position, Specific Person, and Responsible Person of the Parent Organization (This Option will not be valid for the top node of the Organization Structure as it is the parent organization).
Once the user has set the responsible person for an organization,
by default, the rest of the child organizations will derive the same setting
as their parent organization by setting the responsible person as inherit. But
users can change this setting based on the requirement.
The following data needs to be defined in the application
to perform this activity.
1. An Organization Structure (can be a Company Structure
or a Matrix Structure)
2. Position Structure connected to the Organizational Structure
3. Persons
Once the responsible Person is defined per Organization,
that information will be used in other areas of the application to identify
the person who overlooks the respective organization. E.g.- the Salary Setting
Manager page in the Compensation and Benefits management Area.
