This activity is used to deliver parts that are stored in DOP temporary inventory to stock. This can be used when the DOP order has a higher quantity completed than the demand on the supply order for the parent DOP order, or pegged customer order line. Parts stored in temporary inventory are parts that are completed from a supply order but not reserved to the supply order for the parent DOP order, or to the pegged customer order line.
To deliver temporary parts into stock, select the item you want to deliver on the Temp Inventory tab on the DOP Order page and click Deliver to Stock. This can also be done from the DOP Header page after first expanding the tree structure in order to display the DOP order.
This activity requires that there exist parts in temporary inventory for the DOP order.
It is highly recommended to only use this activity for excess quantities not required by the supply order pegged to the parent DOP order, or pegged customer order line. The demands may not be fully supplied if the quantity is delivered to stock.
