Propagate Date Downstream

Explanation

This activity is used to propagate dates downstream in a DOP structure (to parent levels). The dates on higher levels in the DOP structure change with respect to the due date on the DOP order on which you perform the command and the lead time offset.

To propagate dates downstream click Propagate Date/Quantity, then click Propagate Date Downstream on the DOP Order or the DOP Orders page. This can also be done from the DOP Header page after first expanding the tree structure in order to display the DOP order.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that a parent DOP order exists.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The due and start dates on parent levels in the DOP structure are changed based on the due date of the DOP order, the lead time offset of the DOP order, and the lead time of the parent DOP order part.
• The lead-time is calculated due to the lot size and the routing revision and alternative for the parent DOP order. The Due Date in the Demand area on the DOP Header page is the same as the due date on the top DOP order.
