Activate Execution Logic Structure Template
Explanation
This activity is used to activate an execution logic structure (ELS) template.
Once you have set up the correct execution logic sequence for performing maintenance
you need to activate the ELS template. When the template is activated,
the grouping ID can be connected to the maintenance order and used to create
the execution logic structure (ELS) for the maintenance visit.
If there is a large amount of basic data to process, it is recommended to
perform the ELS template activation as a background job.
Prerequisites
- A grouping ID in the Under Preparation status must exist.
System Effects
- If this activity is performed as a background job, a background job
(Activate Execution Logic Template) will be generated for the ELS template
activation.
- If sorting is added to the grouping criteria but has not been extended
to the relevant ELS nodes in the template, this will be done automatically
when activating the template.
- Sorting numbers will be generated automatically for ELS nodes lacking
a sorting number. The auto-generated sorting number will have a higher value
than the sorting number which is manually entered, and will be placed below
nodes already sorted.
- The grouping ID is activated and the ELS template can be connected to
maintenance orders.
- The grouping criteria cannot be modified when the ELS template is activated.
