Set Maintenance Event to Under Preparation
Explanation
This activity is used to set a maintenance event to the Under Preparation
status.
Maintenance events with predefined task cards are automatically set under
preparation when the maintenance order to which it is connected is set to
Under Preparation. All task cards connected to the event code will be retrieved
to the event along with connected subtasks, resources, material, and sign off
requirements. If predefined task cards do not exist for the event, it will be
set to the Incomplete status instead. Once the required task cards are
connected to the event, this activity can be performed to manually set the event
to the Under Preparation status.
When a non routine event, that is connected to a heavy maintenance contract,
is set to the Under Preparation status, the system will calculate the planned
resource and material demands to check if these values are above the agreed
on cap values in the contract. If the cap values are exceeded, commercial approval
is required before the event can be released.
Maintenance event can be set to Under Preparation status from the
Manage Maintenance Event page.
Prerequisites
- An event in the Incomplete status with connected task cards must
exist on the maintenance order.
- Resources on the connected task cards and subtasks must be valid for
the site at which the maintenance is to be done (i.e., site of the workshop
on the maintenance order).
System Effects
- The event is set to the Under Preparation status. When all events
on a maintenance order are in the Under Preparation status, the maintenance
order can be released.
- If demands have been released (the Demands Released option is
enabled) and the maintenance order is in the Under Preparation status,
resource and material demands on the event will be released.
- If the maintenance order is in the Under Preparation status,
an aggregated view of the resource demands on the event can be viewed.
- The Commercial Approval Needed option will be enabled
if the non routine event, that is connected to a heavy maintenance contract,
has planned resource and material demands that exceed the cap values in
the contract.
If the maintenance order has the Execution Logic Structure distribution
type:
- The task cards and subtasks connected to the events will be mapped into
correct execution logic orders (ELOs) in the execution logic structure (ELS)
that is defined on the maintenance order.
- The grouping and ELO nodes in the ELS will be sorted in the same order
as set up on the ELS template.
- The task cards and subtasks which do not fit into any of the defined
ELOs will be mapped into the Ungrouped Task Cards node.
