This activity is used to define quality requirements for a purchase part. These requirements are validated when releasing a purchase requisition line, purchase order line or purchase order change order line, to determine whether the supplier is qualified or not. If the supplier is not qualified the requisition/order needs to be authorized to be released.
On the Purchase Part page, quality requirements are defined on the Quality Requirements tab.
The minimum quality system level (QSL) value determines the required minimum supplier QSL qualification. Supplier QSL qualification is handled on the Supplier/Purchase page.
The qualified manufacturer required (QMR) option determines whether the part manufacturer defined on the Supplier for Purchase Part page needs to be qualified. QMR qualification is handled on the Part Manufacturer page.
The qualified supplier required (QSL) option determines whether the supplier for the purchase part needs to be qualified. QSR qualification is handled on the Supplier for Purchase Part page.
