Perform this activity to add a resource to an activity. The main purpose
of this is to control who will work on a certain activity and how much work
is to be done, with more detail. The values given here will be used for performing
an approximate capacity planning across one or more projects.
Several
resources can assign to one activity. It is important that the resources connected
have cost and capacity defined for the right period according to the project.
The resource cost and capacity to use is defined by the early start and finish
dates of the activity. The cost and hours for the resources will be reported
to the project according to the posting control setup.
It is possible to add a resource to the planning also when project level or sub-project level is selected. But in those cases, sub-project ID and/or activity ID need to be specified since the project resource planning is always done on activity level.
Same resource ID can assign on several lines by using the resource criteria.
