Cancel Activity
Explanation
The Cancel
menu option cancels the selected project activity. Canceling an activity
changes its status from Planned or Released to Cancelled.
When an activity is in Cancelled status, no further status changes can
be made. For more information on activity statuses, go to About Activities.
Prerequisites
- The activity must be in either Planned or Released status.
- Employee allocations must not exist on the activity.
- A Sales Contract or Sales Contract Line Item must not be connected to
the activity.
- Project Quotation Line entries must not exist for the activity.
- Connected Purchase Order Lines, Purchase Order No Part Lines, Purchase
Order Rental Part Lines, Customer Order Lines, Customer Rental Order Lines,
Shop Orders, Active Separate Work Order, Active Route Work Order, Historical
Route Work Order, Historical Separate Work Order, Engineering Change Order,
Document Package, Voucher, General Ledger Voucher, Dop Headers, Material
Requisitions, Project Deliverables and Plant Design Objects must not exist.
- Supplies should not be created for Project Deliverables for this activity.
System Effects
- The cancel date for the activity is set to the current date.
- No costs or hours can be reported on the activity.
- No further status changes can be made on the activity.
- Resources will be removed from the activity.
- Dependencies for the activity will be removed.
- Tasks for the activity will be deleted.
- Purchase requisition lines, purchase number part requisition lines and
rental part requisition lines for the activity which are in Planned
or Released statuses will be removed.
- Activity Estimates will be removed.
- Miscellaneous Demands will be removed from the activity.
- Activity requirements will be removed if there are no supplies created
for this activity in the Project Deliverables Structure.
