Close Project

Explanation

Perform this activity to promote the status of the project to Closed.

At this stage post-project activities such as reports or evaluations, have been completed. No further status changes can be made on the project once it has been closed. See About Project Status for more information on project statuses.

Once a project has been closed, any history logging that has been scheduled for it must be turned off, otherwise unnecessary logging will continue.

Project closure can be performed via Project Completion action command on Project Setup Paramaters/Finance tab or Finacial Project page.

Prerequisites

The project must be in status Completed.

System Effects

The project is Closed.
The Close Date is set to the current date.
An error message will appear if any material on hand exists for the project, consequently disallowing the closure of the project.

Note: The Finance tab in the Project Setup Paramaters page is only available if General Ledger has been installed.
