This activity is used to connect selected item lines in the Schedule of Work Estimate or Production to Sub Contract Revision, This can be achieved using the Update Sub Contract command.
This command will open an assistant window according to the item/items that are selected. If item/items which are selected and at least one item is already connected to a sub contract, user can choose Update method whether to Create New Sub Contract Item or Update Sub Contract Item using Connected Sub Contract Details.
Create New Sub Contract Item option will let you create a Sub Contract Item and Update Sub Contract Item using Connected Sub Contract Details option will navigate you to the Connected Sub Contract Details page.
Once Schedule of Work Item is connected we can manage Connected Sub Contract Items from Schedule of Work Connected Sub Contract Details page. You can navigate to Connected Sub Contract Details page by using Connected Sub Contract Details command or from the Update Sub Contract Assistant. .
Connected Sub Contract Detail consist of three tabs.
When required, you can update connected Sub Contract Items that have differences using Update Sub Contract command in Connected Items tab of Connected Sub Contract Details page.
Schedule of Work Items not yet connected can be pushed to Sub Contract Revision using the Update Sub Contract command in Not Connected SOW Items tab of Connected Sub Contract Details page.
Sub Contract Items not connected to any Schedule of Work Item can be viewed in Not Connected Contract Items tab of Connected Sub Contract Details page.
Schedule of Work should be created.
Sub Contract Revision should be created, an it should be connected to the project which the Schedule of Work is Created.
Sync Sub Contract should be enabled for your Schedule of Work Item.
SOW Type along with the contract statuses need to be added to the Schedule of Work Defaults page.
Based on selected Schedule of Work Item information, Sub Contract Items get created.
Connected Sub Contract details command get enabled for your Schedule of Work.
