New Schedule of Work Production

Explanation

This activity is used to create a header section of new Schedule of Work Production.

Only one active Schedule of Work Production will be allowed to create for a given project. Previous Schedule of Work Production should be in ‘Canceled’ state before creating a new Schedule of Work Production connected to the same Project.

Schedule of Work Production is not allowed to delete once Work Recording is performed. Otherwise delete will be allowed when Schedule of Work Production is in ‘Planned’ state.

When required, Quantity Breakdown Structure can also be connected to your Schedule of Work while it is creating. Your new Schedule of Work can be connected to any of the existing Quantity Breakdown Structures or it can be connected to a brand-new Quantity Breakdown Structure created along with your new Schedule of Work or to a new Quantity Breakdown Structure created by coping from any existing Quantity Breakdown Structure of your choice.

When required, Cost Element Mandatory, Revenue Element Mandatory, Sub Project Mandatory and Activity Mandatory flags can be selected, these flags will be used as Schedule of Work Validation criteria.

When required, Sub Project and the Activity values can be specified while creating your Schedule of Work header. These values will be copied to your Schedule of Work Item lines when the Item lines are created without selecting any WBS navigator nodes.

Prerequisites

A project, schedule of work is going to create must have been defined.

SOW Type must be enabled in the Schedule of Work Types page and defined as Production in the Schedule of Work Defaults page to create a new Schedule of Work Production.

System Effects

New Schedule of Work header will be created.

Schedule of Work header created, can be seen from the Schedule of Work Production Overview and Detail pages.
