Transfer Budget
Explanation
This activity is used to transfer a budget amount from the Active Budget
amount
in one forecast line to another forecast line. Budget transfer allows to transfer
budget values among already available forecast lines without affecting the total budget amount
for the Forecast.
To transfer budget, select the forecast line from which the budget needs
to be transferred and click the Transfer Budget action command to open the
Budget
Transfer assistant. For each transfer, a Budget Transfer Reason should be provided.
Active Budget amount available for a forecast line can be fully or partially transferred
among one or more forecast lines.
Prerequisites
- The EAC Workbench must be in In Progress status.
- The connected Project Forecast must be in Preliminary status.
- The Project should have an Active Budget.
- The forecast line from which the budget will be transferred should have
an Active Budget value.
System Effects
- Budget Transfer column in EAC Workbench will be updated with the
transferred value according to the transfer direction in both
transferred and received forecast lines.
- A new record will be created in the Budget Transfer Details
page for the budget transfer.
- Adjusted Budget This Forecast, Unplanned Cost, Estimated Future Commitment,
EAC and ETC values will be updated accordingly.
