Create Control Chart Automatically

Explanation

This activity is used to create a control chart automatically for a control plan line (data point) when new inspection results has been entered.

The Real Time SPC control chart connected to the data point is updated and validated automatically in the background as soon as new inspection results are entered in an Analysis for the data point of interest. The control chart is updated when the status for the data point is set to Complete.

An analysis will not be included in the updated Real Time SPC control chart if any of the following conditions exist:

• The status of the data point is Incomplete.
• The analysis result is in the Cancelled status.
• The defined fixed sample size of the data point and the resulting sample size of the analysis results do not match. (This does not apply for the p chart and u chart).

Prerequisites

• Real Time SPC is enabled for the control plan line.
• The Real Time SPC control chart will be created when at least two Analysis in status Complete exists for the data point. 

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a Real time SPC control chart, for a specific control plan line (data point), is updated automatically as soon as new inspection results has been entered in an Analysis and the status is updated to Complete for the data point of interest.
