Define Calendar Information
Explanation
Use this activity to enter calendar information required to generate the recurring service program schedule. There are five options to choose from;
- Main Object Calendar - Availability calendar of the Main Object defined in the Recurring Service Program header
- Location Calendar - Availability calendar of the Location defined in the Recurring Service Program header
- Service Organization Calendar - Calendar connected to the Default Delivery Unit of the selected Service Organization
- All Year - No specific calendar is used; consider all 365 days when creating the schedule
- Calendar - Any calendar defined in IFS Cloud
The calendar information is applicable when there is a calendar-based tigger for the program. It is mandatory to have a calendar option selected to be able to generate the program schedule. And the program schedule can be generated either using the Generate Schedule command in the Recurring Service Program/Schedule tab or when setting the program to Active state.
Additionally, when a program schedule occurrence (Due Next) is set on an unavailable/ non-working day as determined by the selected calendar option, Planning Tolerance (No of days) can be used to shift the original Due Next of a program schedule line to the immediate available/ working day on which the service occurrence can be planned. Planning Tolerance can be +/-. The positive planning tolerance indicates a forward planning from the original Due Next, where negative planning tolerance indicates backward planning from the original Due Next.

Prerequisites
- Calendars must be created in IFS Cloud.
- A Recurring Service Program should exist in Preliminary/Active state.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the recurring service program is ready to generate the program schedule.
