Sales is very much about contacts, meetings and e-mails and in many cases
this is administrated from Outlook. Sales representatives spend a lot of their
time in Outlook and would like to have access to their daily work tasks from
there. With the Outlook add-in "CRM-Panel", sales representatives
can perform many of their daily tasks directly from Outlook. The CRM-Panel allows
you to work with contacts, activities and opportunities. You can save e-mails
from outlook to IFS Cloud by using the CRM-Panel. When you need to leave
Outlook there is a context driven navigation to IFS Cloud Web so you will get directly
to the right contact, activity, opportunity etc.
The CRM-Panel is based
on the recipient list of the highlighted mail or the attendees list of an appointment
and it shows data from IFS Cloud. Click on the name to navigate to a
more detailed view of the contact. If recipients/attendees don't exist in IFS
Applications, they can be registered as contacts in the CRM-Panel. You can also
edit the contact, call via phone or mobile or send a mail. Create a new activity
or opportunity based on the mail content and attach the highlighted mail to
the activity or opportunity. In the details page you can also view and filter
the latest activities, opportunities and business mails for the contact. Collapse
and expand the different sections to see additional info in the CRM-Panel (configure
what sections to show) or navigate to IFS Cloud Web to continue working from there.
The CRM-Panel can also give you as a representative an overview of your
contacts, activities and opportunities. Click on your name in the recipient/attendees
list to navigate to the representative details page.
Save to CRM is used to save a mail to IFS Cloud. The highlighted mail will be saved as a Business Mail and the sender and recipients will be connected as references.
Send and Save is available from compose mode. The CRM-Panel is available in compose mode and you can search for a contact in IFS Cloud when composing the mail. This is also available when handling appointments.
The CRM-Panel is built on Microsoft technology and platform. Microsoft Office add-ins can be used for extend office applications and interact with content in office documents. Office Add-ins can do almost anything a webpage can do inside a browser. This can be built for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Project and Outlook. The CRM-Panel is available only for Outlook. The IFS CRM-Panel does not use the same controls as IFS Cloud Web, instead we use Microsoft related libraries (Office UI Fabric framework). CRM-Panel is available in a number of platforms. There are some slight differences in capabilities and features between platforms based on platform characteristics.
