Create Service Organization

Explanation

This activity is used to create a Service Organization. A Service Organisation exists inside a company and is the owner of the requests, contracts, and service quotations and offers services defined in the service catalog. On the Service Organisation header, sites can be connected to define the Logistics, Sales, and Work Owning Sites - representing the site values for parts, sales, and work task ownership respectively:

A service organisation must be created with a default Owning Site, Logistics Site, and a Sales Site.

There should be one or many branches defined on a service organization to handle the delivery of work. A service branch is a unit that holds ownership of work tasks resulting from the Service Requests.

You can create new Service Organization via 'New Service Organization' assistant by entering Service Organization ID, Work Owning Site, Logistics Site, Sales Site and add one or more service branches. The company of the site you add first as Work Owning Site, will be considered as the company of the Service Organization. When you add sites as branches for Service Organization, it validates for the company of the existing branch.

When a service branch is added for a service organisation it is possible to define an alternative Logistics site for the branch and set a default delivery branch. For work tasks that arise from the service branch with an alternative Logistics site, the logisitcs site defined on the service branch will override the logistics site defined in the service organisation header.

Multiple Service Organisations can have the same connecting site values.

Sites defined in service branches can not be repeated in other Serivce Organisations.
