Create Miscellaneous Resource Allocation Categories

Explanation

Perform this activity to create a Miscellaneous Resource Allocation category, which is a mandatory field in creating a Miscellaneous Resource Allocation. Miscellaneous Resource Allocation categories are used to group Miscellaneous Resource Allocations together.

If a Miscellaneous Resource Category relates to Absences, the Absence badge will display yes.

If an existing Non Absence category needs to be converted in to an Absence category, it needs to be disconnected from all the Miscellaneous Resource Allocations that are already associated with it.

A Miscellaneous Resource Allocation Category can have the following statuses:

• Active: Defined and ready to be used for a Miscellaneous Resource Allocation. If used, then it will not be possible to Delete. When a Misc. Resource Allocation category is created this will be the default status.
• Blocked: No longer used, and therefore cannot be assigned to a Miscellaneous Resource Allocation.
• Hidden: Hidden and therefore cannot be assigned to a Miscellaneous Resource Allocation.
