View Resource Shift Change Log

Explanation

Resource shift change logs are created when a shift freeze period has been defined in Resource Basic Data. The change log it is possible to gain visibility of changes to shifts that impact the resource availability and, with this information, re-plan work if required. Changes to shifts include; adding a new shift or break(s) to an existing shift, editing or deleting existing shifts or breaks. A resource manager or a planner typically monitors the change logs.

The change log displays information such as if the change was a new, edited or deleted shift or break. The previous start/end time and the shift's new start/end time, when the shift was changed and by whom.

Change logs are created when manual changes are made to shifts and when shifts are changed as a result of generating or removing resource schedules and capacity.

During the Shift Freeze period, it is not allowed to change the shifts in My Resource Shift Gantt and My Resource Shift Calendar. Also, changes made by the logged-in user's shifts are logged even outside the shift freeze period, as changes that the resource manager or planner does could otherwise be missed.

The change logs can be viewed in the Resource Shift Change Log page and the Resource Availability page. The Shift Freeze Period is defined in Resource Basic Data.
