View Shift Deviations

Explanation

Perform this activity to view shift deviations created against one resource or multiple resource schedules.

Shift deviations are created when existing resource shifts are edited and deleted or when new shifts are manually added. The deviation from the resource's original schedule will persist, even when the resource schedule is re-generated, as long as the deviation remains. If the shift deviation record is removed, the original shift is restored as it was generated, and the capacity is adjusted accordingly.

Shift deviations can be viewed and removed in the Resource Shift Deviations page and the Resource Availability page. It is also possible to view shift deviations in Resource Shift Gantt and My Resource Shift Gantt page, where the deviated shift appears as a grey bar that holds the information about the resource's original shift before it deviated.

Prerequisites

An existing resource shift, on call shift or break must have been edited, deleted or a new shift must have been manually created against a resource to create shift deviations.

System Effects

Reviewing existing shift deviations gives the resource manager, planner or dispatcher information about deviations from the current resource schedule.
