Manual Credit Check
Explanation
This activity is used to perform a credit check manually. Credit control
group data is not required for performing a manual credit check on a single site. For
the inter-site order flow, the external customer's credit can be checked
manually from the supply site internal customer order.
The manual credit check, when executed, performs the following checks to find
out whether:
- The customer is credit-blocked in the customer record.
- The value of all outstanding orders and outstanding invoices (if IFS
Financials is used) exceeds the customer's credit limit.
- The total overdue amount (which has also exceeded the allowed overdue
days) exceeds the allowed overdue amount.
- If the customer has the
Advance Invoice Full Paid Check option enabled, it is checked whether the customer has advance invoices or prepayment-based invoices which
have not received full payment.
Prerequisites
- The customer order header must at least be in the Planned status,
but not in the Delivered or Invoiced/Closed status.
- At least one order line or one charge line must exist so that the order
total is greater than zero.
- For the inter-site order flow, to manually check external customer’s
credit on supply site, it is required to connect credit control group to
internal customer. External customer credit check on supply site option should be
enabled for that credit control group.
System Effects
- System pops up the information message that includes the customer’s
credit situation. Based on that you can decide whether to block the customer
order or not.
If you block the customer order, order status change to Block, and
the Handle Blocked Customer Orders page will be updated.
- If both internal and external customer orders are blocked due to a
credit fail in the external customer, once the external customer order is
blocked from the manual credit check on supply site, the internal customer
order is automatically blocked.
