Update Part Based Sales Price Lists
Explanation
This activity is used to update part based sales price lists. When base prices
are updated, it is also necessary to update the sales price lists.
There are three methods for updating sales price.
- Update price lists based on costing pricing.
- Update price lists based on manual pricing.
- Update price lists based on costing and manual pricing.
It is also possible to specify exactly which prices will be updated. This
can be done by entering price list number, part number, base price site, and/or
sales price group and price type.
Prerequisites
- Base prices in Active status must have been entered on the
Sales Part Base Prices page for sales prices and the
Sales Part Rental Base Prices page for rental
prices.
- Part based sales price lists must have been entered on the Sales
Price List page.
- The user must have access to the owning company of the sales price list.
System Effects
- All prices on the part based sales price list lines corresponding to
the entered conditions regarding the origin from costing and price list
number, owning company, part number, base price sites and sales price groups
are updated with the new base prices having the Active status. The
modification of prices takes place from the specified valid-from date onwards.
If rental prices are updated it is the rental prices that are updated according
to the entered conditions.
- If the use of price break templates is enabled on the price list and
base price is connected to a price break template, the price break template
is considered when lines are updated.
- If the review of base price updates is enabled on the price list, the
updated sales price list lines get the Planned status and needs to
be reviewed.
- If a sales price list line exists with valid-from date and valid-to
date and the valid-from date specified in the dialog box falls within that
time frame and the Include lines with both Valid From and Valid To dates
option is enabled then the line will be split into two.
