Define User Access to a Workshop
Explanation
This activity is used to define workshop access for your user ID. You can
only distribute maintenance events to the workshops that have been assigned
to you. Therefore, you need to have a minimum of one workshop assigned to you
to be able to distribute events.
The Is User Allowed Site option will be enabled, if you belong to
the site connected to the chosen workshop.
To perform this activity, open the
Workshop Access per User
page and search for the required user ID.
- To assign a selected workshop to the user, create a new record on the
table and enter a value in the Workshop Code field.
- To assign all existing workshops to the user, click Assign All Workshops
option and all existing workshops will automatically be assigned to the
selected user.
- To define a workshop as your default workshop, select the row that holds
the workshop you require and select Set Default Workshop option.
Prerequisites
- Users need to be defined.
- Workshop codes need to be defined in the
Workshop page in
Serial Basic Data.
System Effects
- One or more workshops are assigned to the user and he/she can distribute
events to these workshops.
- If a default workshop is assigned to your user ID, the corresponding
workshop code is automatically suggested when you distribute an event.
