Perform Due Calculation
Explanation
This activity is used to start one or several due calculations for a specific
serial. The valid options to run are:
- Due calculation for interval maintenance events
- Due calculation for LLP (life limited part) events
- Due calculation for modifications events
- Recalculation of PMC (post maintenance check) events
- Recalculation for fault deferrals
The due calculations can be run for the entire serial structure or just for
the serial itself. There is also an option to run the calculations as a background
job and this is recommended if the calculations are to be run for the entire
structure.
You can perform this activity for a selected serial by opening the
Serial Maintenance page and selecting Perform Due Calculation
option.
Note: When the due calculations are finished, you can view
the calculated due dates and values for all types in the Serial Maintenance
page besides for the fault deferrals. Fault deferrals can be viewed in the
General tab in Manage Fault Informtion page.
Prerequisites
- The serial to be calculated, cannot have an operational status of
Planned for Operation and it cannot be locked.
- An average operational value (per month) for the serial must exist.
- To run the due calculation for interval maintenance, an active maintenance
program with a defined maintenance plan must exist.
- For life limited parts to be calculated, life limited information must
be defined for the serial.
- For the modification due calculation to be run, an active modification
must have been assigned to the serial.
- To run the calculation for PMC events, an event must exist and a post
maintenance check definition must have been set up for it. The event must
have been completed and the serial must have reached the limit that triggers
the post maintenance check.
- For the fault deferral calculation to run, a fault with fault deferral
information enabled must exist for the serial. In addition, the fault deferral
must have been approved.
System Effects
- Due calculations for the serial will be run to calculate due dates and
values.
- Pending events will be created if the criteria for when an event is
to be created is fulfilled.
