Recalculate Post Maintenance Events
Explanation
This activity is used to recalculate the due date for post maintenance check
events.
If a post maintenance check event has been completed earlier than the calculated
due value or due date, the calculation of the next due value or date will be
adjusted accordingly. Note that no adjustment will be done if a post maintenance
check event is performed too late.
To perform this activity, search for the serial for which you want to recalculate
post maintenance events from the Serial Maintenance page.
- Select Perform Due Calculation option to open the Perform
Due Calculation for Serial dialog and
enable Post Maintenance Check option.
- If you want to perform the due calculations for all serials in the serial
structure, enable the Calculate Entire Structure option.
- To perform the due calculations as a background job, enable the Run
in Background option.
Prerequisites
- An active post maintenance check definition must be connected to the
relevant maintenance event code.
- The maintenance event to which the post maintenance check definition
is connected must have been completed and the serial must not have reached
the limit that triggers the post maintenance check.
- Post maintenance events that are in a planning stage (i.e., in the
Planned in Scope, Incomplete or Under Preparation status)
must be connected to a maintenance order that is not yet released.
System Effects
- The due date of the post maintenance check event can be modified.
- A pending maintenance event is created if the due date is within the
forewarning limit.
- The recalculation for post maintenance events will handle events that
are included on maintenance orders not yet released.
