Define Procurement Category Structure

Explanation

Use this activity to define category assortment nodes that represents procurement categories resulting in a hierarchic structure of categories.

You can create one or several nodes within a given category assortment and within each level of the structure. Each node you define will be assigned a level based on where you create it within the structure. You can also move a node including all sub-nodes to a new parent in the structure or delete a node including its sub-nodes.

Prerequisites

• A procurement category assortment must be defined.
• If you want to use certain descriptions for the levels in the structure, the levels must be defined for the assortment.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• You will have a procurement category assortment tree structure.
• You can proceed to define procurement specific dimensions and representatives for the categories.
