Define Additional Qualifications

Explanation

This activity is used to define additional qualifications (i.e., competencies and certificates) for resource lines of Demand Type Person in Work Tasks, Work Task Templates and PM actions.

Qualifications are linked to HR (Human Resource) competencies that are directly related to the employee connected HR qualifications. The employee connected HR qualifications is also used in combination with the HR job identities, which can in return be linked to Person Resource Groups (provided IFS Human Resources is installed). This gives the person demand lines additional qualification requirements indirectly. The qualifications defined within this activity are additional to those connected to the HR job ID.

In the Work List/Resources or Resources/Demands tab, select a person demand line for which you want to define additional qualifications and click Additional Qualifications. The Additional Qualifications dialog box opens and you can select the required competencies and certificates.

As a result of this activity the additional competencies and certificates will be connected to the selected person demand line and the Additional Qualifications option will be enabled for the particular resource line. These additional qualifications will be used when searching for resources to allocate to the work lists or tasks.
